June 1916 Satsuzo Mori founded Mori Keiki Seisakusho (Mori Gauge Manufacturing) at 2-9, Hougetsucho, Minato-ku, Osaka to make measuring instruments, testers and welding cutters.
May 1923 A new factory was built near the company’s location.
February 1930 The company was commended by the Governor of Osaka for contributing to the progress of gas business through the export of oxygen pressure gauges and the developing of gas equipment
November 1932 The Emperor visited the company to see its products as part
of his visit to Osaka.
July 1935 The company built a new head office and factory at Mitejima- cho, Nishi Yodogawa-ku, Osaka.
December 1936 The company was incorporated as Mori Keiki Seisakusho, Ltd.
capitalised at \350,000. Satsuzo Mori became president and representative director.
April 1937 Became a designated factory of the Imperial Navy.
November 1944 The company name was changed to the present Asahi Gauge Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
December    Increased capital to \700,000
April 1946 Completed relocation of the factory to the present address in Shiga Prefecture.
Relocated the head office to Dojima Kitamachi, Kita-ku,
Osaka.
September 1947 The labour union was organised
May 1948 Increased capital to \1.5 million
October 1953 Undertook the verification of the Shiga Prefectural Measuring Instrument Inspection Institute as a result of decentralisation of the governmental service.
April 1955 Increased capital to \4.5 million.
May   Relocated the head office to the current address in Osaka
April 1957 JIS labelling was granted to pressure gauges made at the Shiga factory
May   Increased capital to \4.95 million.
September 1958 Increased capital to \7.5 million.
September 1959 Increased capital to \15 million.
September 1961 Increased capital to \22.5 million.
February 1964 Opened a Tokyo liaison office in higashi Azabu, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
September   Increased capital to \30 million.
October   Introduced a company pension system.
September 1965 Expanded the Shiga factory by putting 3 buildings together into one.
February 1967 The Shiga factory was equipped with an anti-pollution facility.
  April Joined a pension fund.
Tied up with Hyoda Keiki Kokyo, Ltd. to commission
thermometer production to it thus having the Asahi Gauge dedicated to pressure gauge manufacture.
August 1968 Increased capital to \37.5 million.
August 1969 Relocated the Tokyo liaison office to Shiba Daimon, Minato- ku as a Tokyo sales office.
January 1977 Opened a sales office in Hukui, Kurashiki, Okayama Pref.
January 1月 Opened an office attached to the Shiga factory.
August 1981 Built a machinery plant and a second warehouse in the Shiga factory.
May 1982 Relocated the Niihama liaison office to Utakacho, Niihama, Ehime Pref.
June 1986 Commended by the Osaka Governor for contribution to promoting the measuring instrument industry. The 70th anniversary of the company foundation
October 1990 Expanded and upgraded the Shiga factory.
July 1992 Increased capital to \75 million.
January 1996 Relocated the Tokyo sales office to 1-1-21, Shiba Daimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
February   Received type certification of the Minister of International Trade and Industry for pressure gauges.
